SUSPENSION OF WORK AT CEBU PROVINCE

Cebu Province Governor HILARIO DAVIDE III has declared suspension of work on both public and private offices through Executive Order No.12 Series of 2013. The suspension starts today, Nov 7 at 12 noon until tomorrow, Nov 8, 2013. The order has been issued to ensure everybody's safety from the typhoon "Yolanda".

TYPHOON YOLANDA: UPDATE NOV 7, 2013 10AM

According to PAG ASA, as of 10am today, Nov 7, the eye of Typhoon “YOLANDA” was 
located based on all available data at 637 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur or 738 km Southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar with  maximum sustained winds of 215 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 250 kph. 

Yolanda is expected to make landfall between 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Friday in the Samar-Leyte area.

SUPER TYPHOON "YOLANDA"

Classified as super typhoon, "Yolanda", (international name "Haiyan") the 25^th typhoon to break into the country this year is forecast to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility tomorrow, Thursday early morning and would leave on Sunday morning. 


According to PAGASA weather forecaster Connie Davidas, the typhoon would make a landfall on Samar and it has a wide diamater.  "Masyadong malawak po ito... and within this diameter, pwedeng maapektuhan ang buong Kabisayaan at partly, sa Northern Mindanao," she said.



Accordingly, the typhoon would also possibly hit the areas that were damaged by the recent earthquake particularly Bohol and Cebu. 


NO CLASSES DECLARED 

As of press time, No classes were declared in Cebu Province by Gov. Hilario Davide III,

The announcement applies in all school levels public and private on Nov 7 & 8, 2013.

Likewise,  Albay has also declared NO CLASS starting tomorrow and Bohol announced NO CLASS on  Nov. 7 & 8.
